Utah State Democratic Party Leaders attend county conventions

County conventions are in full swing. During the past week state party leaders have been traveling the state to attend and visit with local Democrats. Chairman Wayne Holland, Vice Chairman Rob Miller & Senator Pat Jones visited southern Utah conventions while Secretary Marcos Hermosillo, Treasurer Bob Jurek, and executive committee member Laura Bonham attended events in northern Utah. Party staff Craig Axford and Tika Beard also visited several counties.

Cache and Washington County held Jefferson/Jackson dinners prior to their conventions. Both were well attended. In Washington County, Senator Pat Jones was the keynote speaker and discussed education, affordable housing, and increasing concern for the environment. Senator Jones argued Democratic solutions to these problems are consistent with the values of those in southern Utah.
