Jason, here is the question: did CORE defend poor people before corporations decided give them money, or because corporations decided to give them money?
Answer: CORE was an off-shoot of the MLK civil rights movement...40 - 50 years ago. Roy Innis marched with MLK.
I'd take his word for his motives. :)
