Thompson picks Hillary

Former Utah for Richardson director, Aaron Thompson, threw his support behind United States Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton while addressing approximately 40 Davis County Democrats at their informal monthly meeting breakfast that is held at Granny Annie's Restaurant in Kaysville, Utah.

Thompson made his announcement after Ben McAdams, who was speaking on behalf of the Utah for Clinton campaign, gave Thompson the floor. Thompson who was a passionate advocate for New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson's experience stated that he still believes that experience is the key to bringing the change that American citizens are looking for, and that is why he will be supporting New York Senator Hillary Clinton on February 5, 2008 in the Utah Presidential Primary.

Also speaking at yesterday's meeting was Summit County Democratic Chair and State Democratic executive committee member, Laura Bonham, who spoke on behalf of John Edwards, and Aaron Wiley, Utah field director for Senator Barack Obama.

Hey Rob, I'm throwing my support for Mitt.
Although I really liked that slogan I read on your blog, " A vote for Hill is not a vote for Bill"

I like that Richardson's campaign had such a strong (if unnoticed by the media) presence here in Utah.

Not sure what it means, but it seems like a good sign, that, and the Obama office.

Maybe it just says that despite our political reputation nationally, a growing number of Utahn's are actually paying attention and working for something new.

Sorry, Aaron. I respect your choice, but strongly disagree with it. I personally like Senator Clinton, but the problem is she is hated with a visceral, unreasoning hatred by the vast majority of our fellow Utahns. I'm personally much more concerned about Democrats getting more seats in the Utah Legislature than who's the next President, and having Hillary at the top of ticket is going be a severe handicap for other Democrats trying to get elected in Utah.

Thanks to everyone that attended the Davis Democratic Breakfast on Saturday.
It was a great turn out.
