Jason,

Why are you calling Rob a troll? I checked your blog and see no comments from him, or anyone for that matter, on any of your recent posts....? Seriously, you're looking like the troll here.

And here's a quick checklist that helped me (as a mother) decide what I think about vouchers:
The money's coming from somewhere, I don't want to saddle my children with the debt. 1 + 1 = 2, not 1
I don't like the idea of abandoning our public schools.
Why can't this money be used to fix our existing schools, why must it go to a private, largely unregulated system?

I can't think of the rest and blog comments are supposed to be short, but it only takes a little bit of logic to understand that vouchers won't help the children get a better education, it'll make our children's education a snobbery race, with the MAJORITY of children left behind in the dust.

Shhhh, it's a secret....

Republican Senator Larry Craig is not gay. He has never been gay.

It's just funny as hell.

The Republicans want the government to tell you who to marry. But they don’t want the government to protect you, from Republican Senators while you’re using the bathroom.

"That there is just funny."

Under the no child left behind act.
Children'S are learning.

So, vouchers really have nothing to do with children or saving money or being accountable or giving the poor a chance or improving education through competition.

Vouchers are only a vehicle to further the conservative fundamentalist agenda. Coors, Amway, are players in both CNP and PCE. Where are Walmart and Overstock.com ? Hmm. The NEA busters have their own secret group or the Eagle Forum types won't let them in?

Jason:
How long are conservatives going to keep using the phrase "liberal teacher unions"?
Come on, voucher supporters can argue more sensibly by not using some Republican slogan from the 1980's.

Also, I think we should start asking the Republican Party about all the secrets they have. Are they representing the people or the Party?

Mark Towner/Jason Bourne,

You crazy spammer...this post has nothing to do with vouchers. It has to do with Republicans plotting how they can further screw our country. They like to make their plots in secret so we'll all be surprised when they spring into action on their next really dumb idea.

Rob,

Are you telling me that the vast right-wing conspiracy held a meeting in SLC and I am out of town. Dang, I would have liked to have been a part of that!

Best, PTM :)

Paul, I listened to you again last night on the radio. I called and called to give you a voucher hug, but it seems the guy that runs that show is so impressed with his own voice he never actually took a call.

There are at this moment only two Utah members that are known to be members of the Council for National Policy, but with a nice donation you might qualify as a member.

Last note: a secret doesn't mean there is also a conspiracy.

Cheers!

Actually, truth be told, I was invited to speak there, but am out of town. One of my colleagues attended in my place.
