Jason Bourne says: Vote for vouchers or prepare for the wrath of Utah's GOP legislators

Taken from a comment on The Utah State Democratic Party Blog:
Let's cut the bull OK. If you will admit that this is about Union protection of the education monopoly, I will admit that the Legislature can be very heavy handed here in Utah. With that being said, can you imagine how pissed off the Republican leadership will be if this deal is overturned. Public Education could find itself with a 30% cut not increase next year (return to pre 2006) and sponsored legislation to go 100% vouchers and a constitutional amendment to allow it.

The NEA/UEA has really pulled the tail of Senators Bramble and Stephenson on this and public education and any other liberal social program will take it in the chopps.

Obviously Jason Bourne confirms Rep. Phil Riesen's statement in yesterday's Deseret News Republicans are willing to hold our kids health and education hostage if they don't get their way.

And they call Democrats "whiners"!

If vouchers fail...kiss health insurance good bye for children and kiss the Utah Board of Education good bye..as we know it.

It will be an ugly legislative session in the new years.

My sources tell me that republicans are preparing a full round legislative actions which will change things and not for the better.

Bring it on. It will be irresistible for these folks to not punish public education this upcoming session. Voters will finally get to see just what species exactly they voted for and start looking elsewhere for candidates. It could be a very good year for the Democrats!
