KSL has taken the position that the Voucher Referendum petition is too "divisive"
"Divisive", they should know what this word means since they broadcast Sean Hannity's "divisive" rhetoric every weekday from 1 to 4 p.m.
But wait, doesn't KSL promote Sean as the guy whose opinions "Just Make Sense"?
Divisive: creating disunity or dissension.
Sense: conscious awareness or rationality.
So what they are really saying is that the Voucher Referendum "Just Makes Sense".
I guess they are just a little bit confused. It can happen.

Yes Robert, it seems that KSL has drank the Kool-Aid.
A slight correction is in order....KSL doesn't drink! Actually they make and distribute the Kool-Aid.
I had the opportunity to have lunch with Rob and Christian Burridge today and the topic of conversation was about radio and the lack of any opposing voices out there. When you look at the landscape of Talk Radio, there is just a constant drumbeat of Rush, Hannity and the wannabees all across the dial. These Bush cheerleaders are a one note song that sings Republicans good, Democrats bad. They have effectively demonized the term Liberal equating it with Communism or worse yet Islamofascism. The local radio market offers little in the way of talk radio and the free exchange of ideas and differing points of view are vital to a democracy.
For the record, I am not a Democrat or Republican. I am Independant. I moved to Utah in 1971 and was a California Republican. I discovered that a California Republican was a Utah Democrat and a Utah Republican was a facist so I gave up. Seriously I find it liberating to be independant so I can be an equal opportunity critic. People asked me, "how come you never criticize the Democrats?" I tell them, elect some and I will if they screw up in my opinion. Utah is a one party state and that is not healthy for anybody. What scares me the most is the majority of Utahns think the Bush Administration is doing a good job....."A good job of WHAT?" This is the worst administration that has ever occupied Washington and can't imagine how long it will take to undo the damage they have done to America in the eye of the civilized world. The word civilized precludes much of the Middle East.
ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH! Sorry, that is my frustration of not being the air.
No apologies needed.
You're right on target Tom.
KSL supports vouchers...YEAH
KSL's main point was not that a referendum would be divisive, but that this debate has been extremely detailed, that is has built in auditing, and that it is a good compromise.
I agree, and therefore also think it is a waste of time to have a referendum on the issue.
