Abby's first day of Kindergarten

It happens to most everyone who has children, and it can be bitter sweet, but eventually the day comes when your oldest child begins Kindergarten, and quite frankly, there is nothing you can do about it.

Mom was uneasy and emotional, as was dad, but Abby was just fine, and in fact quite ready to make the change from mommy's home pre-school into the world of backpacks and self discovery.

Abby's birth was a miracle, and its hard to believe that its been five years since she came to us. Michelle and I were married for nine years before Abby did arrive, and that day was most definitely the most awe inspiring moment of my life. All I can say now is where did the time go?

I really am excited for Abby, and I truly am pleased with her excitement and willingness to move forward in life, and yet, there's still that overwhelming feeling that she should be at home, playing with Anna and Sami, under the watchful eyes of her parents.

The one constant in life is change, and its good, even if it stings a little.

Dear Rob Always remember no matter how old your girls get they will always be your little girls. I know because my little girl is now a grown woman. Your best bud John.

Rob, I hate to tell ya, it never gets easier. My "baby" just started high school. They grow up way too fast, so make sure to enjoy every single second.
