Sitting with the Utah Delegation

I've decided that Monday must be when they dump all the boring speakers. However, I got several good pictures that I will be posting later, when I get out of here. Posting from inside of Pepsi Center is difficult. There is no wi-fi, and the press filing center inside the building doesn't have much room. I do have the luxury of having a cellular card, but I only have an hour of battery life. I'm about to head outside to pass our credential off the Misty Fowler. I hope I get to come back in soon.

Bob, Biscuit, and Bramble Burger

Aaron and I had dinner last night at the Hard Rock Cafe in the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver.

AS our host was seating us, he informed us that our waiter would be Biscuit.

Biscuit?

Yes, Biscuit.



Biscuit was an awesome waiter. He gave us some of the inside scoop on my new girlfriend, err, favorite city Denver. Also, the Hard Rock had a very accomodating menu:



If having a burger named after their candidate wasn't enough to placate the Clinton people, nothing will satisfy them. It satisfied me!

Oh, and the burger I really wanted -- the Bramble Burger:

They're going to Denver!

Delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Denver were elected Friday May 9, and Saturday May 10, 2008, including unpledged add-on Kristi Cumming .

On Friday May 16, 2008 our Democratic National Convention delegates met to elect a delegation chair and to prepare for their jaunt to Denver this August.

Utah State Democratic Chair, Wayne Holland, was elected by acclamation to the post of delegation chair.

As you can see by this photo our Utah delegation is excited and ready to attend the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Utah Welcomes the Reverend Leah Daughtry

Leah Daughtry, Chief Executive Officer of the 2008 Democratic National Convention Committee , is coming to Utah to keynote the Eleanor Roosevelt Award luncheon.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean announced his appointment of Leah D. Daughtry to serve as Chief Executive Officer of the 2008 Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC). Daughtry is currently the Chief of Staff at the DNC, responsible for managing day-to-day strategy and operations of the national party.

Among her many accomplishments, Daughtry served at the U.S. Department of Labor as Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management during the Clinton Administration. In that capacity, she oversaw the development of the Department's management programs and policies, including responsibility for the Department's $35 billion budget. Throughout her career, Daughtry has been widely recognized as bringing sound, principled management and leadership practices to organizations with which she has worked.

We are excited and honored to have Ms. Daughtry as our keynote speaker to the Eleanor Roosevelt Awards luncheon on October 26
