The Lake Powell Pipeline - Is it the right choice?
Thursday, 6 PM Crescent Moon Theater ~ Kanab
Presented By: Citizens for Dixie's Future

Paul Van Dam, Executive Director of Citizens for Dixie's Future, a grassroots organization of southern Utah residents dedicated to protecting our natural resources and quality of life through smart growth planning, will present "The Lake Powell Pipeline - Is it the right choice?".
In his presentation Mr. Van Dam will discuss how this proposed $1.7 billion water project would affect housing affordability, cost of living and over-all quality of life.

Because the Pipeline could facilitate southwest Utah's population growth beyond the 1 million mark, the project is one of the most important decisions our area will ever make. Local taxpayers would pay an unprecedented amount for this project and with data from the Washington County Water Conservancy District raising questions about the pipeline's necessity plus the uncertain reliability of Lake Powell.

This presentation is part of this week's Amazing Earthfest, and will take place Thurs. at 6pm at the Crescent Moon Theater.
