Could the results of last night’s Texas and Ohio primary really be typified as a “Super Tuesday” sequel? For a week straight political pundits all across the media spectrum were hyping these primaries to be the “Super Tuesday sequel. Additionally, this morning it was impossible to run away from the incessant media hype that with a revolutionary Paul Revere annunciation declared, “Senator John McCain is the Republican nominee!”
I have to give some credit to the media as last night really produced some very interesting surprises in the race for the Democrat nomination. However, there was really no big surprise that McCain would be the Republican nominee. I would poignantly typify last night’s Republican Primary results as an anti-climatic less than suspenseful yawner. The real Republican revolutionary surprise last night came as Huckabee finally heard the resounding ringing in his ear that squelched, “For Whom the Bell Tolls” reminding him that he was never going to become the Republican Presidential nominee. Yet feeling like a paradoxical “compassionate conservative” I might throw Huckabee a bone considering that maybe he had his crack “A-Team” political staff constantly running “Fuzzy Math.” Then again presidential primary addition really is neither complicated nor as confusing as the trickle down theory in Reganomics.
So now what? Well take a look at what type of events is tying up Senator John McCain’s schedule for the next few days. Won’t this be an amazing presidential race once again won on money?
All times in Eastern Standard Time, unless otherwise noted.
