Gov. Bill Richardson at the Utah Democrats Jefferson Jackson Celebration

The real and sad news should be how little time Richardson spent here and how he couldn’t get out of Utah fast enough to fly to Chicago, that same weekend the American Academy of Trail Lawyers were meeting in Chicago (I know, I was there) and the talk was about “poor” Bill Richardson being stuck in Utah while all the other Democratic Candidates were in Chicago getting fat checks from trial lawyers for their campaigns.

Where do think Bill Richardson really wanted to be and why do think he was in and out of Utah so quickly.

Gov. Richardson has been wonderful to Utah Democrats. He helped Scott Matheson during his campaign, and he came to an event that no other presidential candidate would even look at.

Gov. Richardson made a commitment to Utah Democrats and kept that commitment, and I believe that is the bottom line.

BTW, Gov, Richardson flew out of Salt Lake to LA that night, not Chicago.

Why was he here? To help Utah Democrats put on a successful event and to raise funds and presence for his presidential campaign here in Utah.

How do I know? I was there, and have been there every time Gov. Richardson has visited our state and allowed the Utah Democratic Party the opportunity to excite our base and raise funds for the Party at his exspense, not ours, over the last four years.

Thank you, Rob.

And I think it is important to remember that NO presidential candidate stays in Utah that long. Dodd flew in and out on the same day. Edwards was here for like 90 minutes. And the R candidates don't spend much more time.

It's called campaigning, folks. And I'm happy to have been a part of the team that brought Richardson to Utah. It is exactly what we needed, and I am happy that he could fit us in to his busy schedule.
