MANN COULTER?

I believe the reason Ann Coulter is so venomous is that she is not true about her real identity. She looks like a man dressed as a woman. Mann, be true to yourself!

That has gotta be drag!

See the Adam's apple?

The French say: "Cherchez la femme..." (meaning "look for the woman..." whenever something bad/mysterious/criminal/etc. is afoot!
My take on such characters is "Cherchez le MONEY!" It'll buy anything, including the Ann Coulters of the world.

Jess, you actually look like Ann with glasses.

Maybe you are Ann the Mann!

Hey, now, Anon that wasn't cool at all. Go slam your hand in a car door.

Or what, you'll sick your little sister Mark on me?

At least Nelson had a one-hit wonder.

All Colter does is sit around trying to come up with something even more offensive, fact-free, and hate-based.

Remember, Mitt Romney said "I am happy to hear that after you hear from me, you will hear from Ann Coulter. That is a good thing. Oh yeah!"

I cannot and do not understand the "Ann Coulter" hype - she is mean. She is not even that cute. She thinks she is really funny, but she's really just offensive. She doesn't listen to anybody. And she never answers a question that is asked. If you watch that Elizabeth Edwards thing, you can see that she *never* fesses up to what she said... that she wished John Edwards had died in an assasination plot. I mean, she is just not a nice person.

And yet... this religious right wing Utah crowd follows her around like she is the messiah, going to save them all from the nasty liberals. Like everything she says is the most wonderful and thoughtful truth they've ever heard.

But, I listen to her and I think... "what on earth was lovely or of good report or praiseworthy about THAT?"

I mean really... she wants him dead in an assasination plot? that's what she thinks is good for America??

“I cannot and do not understand the "Ann Coulter" hype”

I can understand it..her book sales speak for themselves…readers love her – why...because she speaks for the majority – the silent majority – she can be so un-pc…just like we all want to be. She speaks for the masses…and the masses listen and agree.

Perhaps what is most is most disturbing is popularity among the college set..Ann makes a lot of money speaking on the college circuit…her talks are always packed and those who dare to challenge her in public are booed off my an auditorm of 20 something college students who are being indoctrinated by her and who hang on her every word. Her books are very popular in college book clubs – and her views are taken as main stream by todays 20 somethings – not as extreme. The next generation is viewing coulter as who speaks for them and as is not afraid to challenge the staus quote.

Women’s groups on college campuses speak of Ann being an empowering example to women.

Lastly, Edwards looks even worse after his little woman went to bat for him. – I mean it’s bad enough he talks about $500 haircuts and how he made his fortune sewing innocent dr’s for malpractice – but he has to let the whole world know about his wife’s cancer and his wife has to call and tell Ann to be nice….he can’t fight his own battles…he has to send out his little woman to fight them for him….bad..just really bad.

Ann…fight the good fight….you represent the best and the worst America as to offer …. We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next.

It was most appropriate for Elizabeth to call. One minute your saying that Mann is 'empowering", the next you state that Edwards had the "little woman" call.

What else can I say?

Emily said...

Oh brother. Go ahead and defend her. I still think she's mean spirited and rude.

It's "you're" anonymous, not your. No worries I used to make the same mistake until Mr. Bell fixed me (that sounds bad).

Anon II,

Your statement that Ann Coulter is an empowering example to women is troubling as the father of two beautiful young ladies. Elizabeth Edwards is a class act, I cannot say the same for Coulter. My grandmother was a former vice chair of the Utah Republican Party and she would have been appalled by Coulter's antics.

The rest of your statement is also troubling, but I guess when someone has nothing to say about real issues (usually because they don't know what is going on)they go to the Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity play book.

I do agree with one statement you made; Ann Coulter represents the WORST America has to offer.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ann Coulter is wingnut welfare recepent number one. Her books are bought in bulk by right wing organizations to think anyone gives a shit about her and then are given away or thrown away, they don't care, she serves their purpose.

And what is their purpose?

It is simple, Ann Coulter is constantly pushing the boundaries and that is her role in pushing our country to the right. With her as the token Republican, almost anything left of Nixon is now consider the "far left". She gives cover with her comments that allow radical policies to be introduced because the electorate gets desensitized to a more extreme form of politics with Ann.

Look up the Overton Window

Ann's role is in the Unthinkable

Rob,

thanks for your comments...I'm not saying she is empowering women...I'm saying that is how she is perceived by a number of campus groups aroud the country.

I think most people in our parents and grand parents generation would be shocked..I agree with you %100 there...but the under 30 crowd loves her...thats troubling

Rob said...

Thank you for the clarification.

emily,

I'm not defending her...I'm just pointing out why is so popular with the under 30 and college crowd...as i recall, reading somewhere on this blog ages ago you were yelled at and heckeled by a young student at SUU when you ran for...a lot like Ann's behavior?

That type of behavior is deemed aceptable by today's 20 somethings..bing in your face in politics is all the rage..it scares people off..silences them and allows the extermes to be heard and to be accepted as the norm.

hells bells, now you are calling me a man??? LOL. i have a big nose, but no adam's apple. i am definitely a chick!

my only point was this is the sort of comment you'll find on perez hilton's blog...not on this one. let's attack something OTHER than coulter's looks. she talks over people. she can be annoying...but let's stick to some facts!!

still laughing...

and p.s. to JM Bell...thanks for sticking up for me - if that's what you were doing. much appreciated!

Jess,

When I allowed anonymous to post on The Utah Amicus it was with the stipulation that she/he could have freewill and some fun, even at my expense.

I was concerned when I first saw this post but after the intial paranoia wore off I started wondering, is Ann Coulter the lost Nelson? Rick did get around you know.

BTW, you really don't look anything like Ann, and I dig the glasses.

Thanks for coming by and for your comments Mann, opps, ah, I mean Jess.

todays Washington post

"WASHINGTON -- Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Wednesday encouraged his supporters to donate to his campaign in response to "hateful" comments from conservative author Ann Coulter.."

Eliazabeth Edwards phone call was nothing but a scam devised by her husband to raise more...Slick Willey Part 2.

Anonymous said...

How is a scam? Why not use Coulter's terroristic remarks to raise money. Just because she said he was doing so doesn't make it wrong.

jess said...

hey rob!

first off, i dig anonymous..no offense was intended (i think) and none was taken.

the hard part is knowing whether the FIRST anonymous was the one same anonymous who made a comment later.

this is a great site, btw. i'll be back.
