Rob and J. Dell Holbrook

J. Dell Holbrook is the only Democrat in 50 years to have been elected to the Davis County Commission. He was a friend to my father, and he has been a great friend to me.

I told J. Dell that I wanted him to come to breakfast today to meet some of the other Davis County candidates and leaders to share some of his wisdom. Although my explanation as to why he should come was true, what I didn't tell J. Dell was that I just really enjoy spending time with him.

Others attendees included Davis County Commission B. candidate Chris Martinez, Davis County Chair and District 19 candidate Richard Watson, District 20 candidate Beth Holbrook, District 14 candidate Larry Abel, and Davis County vice chair Kim Wixon.

J. Dell was one of the four people that asked me to run for office. He never tried to give me any unrealistic expectations, but what he did do that was so important for me was to take the time to let me know that he believed in me.

Thanks J. Dell, you're the best, and I want you to know that I believe in you too.
