Breakfast with Governor Bill Richardson

I sent an e-mail out today to introduce everyone in my address book to Christian Burridge's new biography video.

The response to Christian's video has been very positive, except for a reply I received from Mitch V. asking me to take his name off my mailing list. "Your Party's platform reflects no plan and conflicts with my values". Obviously Mitch did not watch the video nor has ever met with New Mexico's Governor, Bill Richardson.

Governor Richardson has a plan for America and it is exactly the direction that Americans should embrace as our next great mission that will take our Nation back into the light of optimism.

During his speech in front of a packed house Richardson explained that America needs to set a goal that is not unlike the goal President Kennedy set that sent us to the moon. He explained that we should use both private and public funding to create the clean energy that will relieve us from our dependence of foreign oil.

As Governor Richardson was reveling his plan I started to think how ironic it is that the same direction that will improve our environment could also be the catalyst that will save our nation economically. Image if Davis County and all of Utah were to grasp onto this bold new direction, and become part of the great 21st century clean energy solution.

Governor Richardson also explained how important it is for America to again rebuild our relationships overseas. Statesmanship and respect have to again become part of the equation. We must remember to seek out our similarities instead of always focusing on our differences.

Although Governor Richardson is at the moment focusing on his reelection, there were several hints that the good governor from New Mexico is going to throw his hat into the 2008 Presidential race. I hope he does.
