Sim Gill Website Announcement

Last Saturday I was visiting my brother Matthew at the Farmer's Market at Pioneer Park. The first person I ran into was Salt Lake Chief City Prosecutor, Sim Gill. He was there listening to his future constituents with his trademark smile.

Salt Lake County is fortunate to have a candidate running for County District Attorney that has actually tried felony cases, and who has the leadership and experience of working as a public servant (see Sim's resume here).

Sim is not only experienced he is also a great citizen who is involved or has been involved with the following community organizations: The Salt Lake Area Safe at Home Coalition, the Salt Lake County Criminal Justice Advisory Committee, the Statewide Association of Prosecutors, the Mayor's Commission on Drug's and Tobacco, the Salt Lake Community College Writing Project, the SLCPD Law Enforcement Block Grant, the Salt Lake County Environmental Task Force, and the Salt Lake City Weed and Seed Project.

Sim is also ethical. Unlike his unqualified opponent, Sim will serve the citizen's of Salt Lake County, not a single developer whose ties to Nancy Workman has left him with a unsold, downtown building that he wanted to sell to the county (more on this later on The Utah Amicus).

To visit Sim's well done website click here.

Sim Gill is going to be a great District Attorney for Salt Lake County.

Uhm. Your statement that Sim is more qualified isn't correct. The County attorneys try felony cases, not Salt Lake City attorneys.

So, that would make Lohra Miller an equal, correct? Outside of the fact that Sim is still part of the good ole county cartel club.

Uhm, your statement is incorrect. Sim is more qualified. Sim has tried felony cases, his opponant has not.

His opponant is only an equal in God's eyes's; As for as her experience, she doesn't even come close.

Yes, Sim Gill is the only candidate in the District Attorney's race who has experience prosecuting felonies. That fact cannot be argued. I am not a lawyer, but I feel it's important to have someone with felony-prosecuting experience running the office responsible for dealing with Salt Lake County's worst felons.

Besides that, I wonder what is meant my "good ole county cartel club." To my knowledge, Sim Gill has a proven record as a tough, fair, independent prosecutor. Furthermore, he is innovative. I have read about the programs he has helped start--like Mental Health Court and Misdemeanor Drug Court--to address systemic problems within the criminal justice system. Sim is hardly part of some "good ole cartel." He has a record of working for positive change.

Hummm, what comments have I deleted? Nothing truthful I'm sure.

Your comment stands, with the only truth being that Jimmy Evans would do anything to win, anything.
