SIGN THEFT: Don't do it!

I just received a call from an embedded Republican friend who stated that he has 35 people who will steal every Democratic sign in Salt Lake County and have a bonfire if Democrats don't stop knocking down Republican signs (threats are so diplomatic).

As vice chair of the Utah Democratic Party I can assure you that we do not condone publicly or silently the theft of campaign signs.

Pete Ashdown offered a $500.00 reward, "to anyone who can get video or a picture of an identifiable individual removing or vandalizing any Democrat's sign...".

The $500.00 reward that I am offering is for ANYONE who video tapes or snaps a photo of a identifiable individual removing or damaging any Utah candidate's sign.

Utah Democrats are going to take the high road and set the example.

Am I clear?

Correction!
Pete's reward money will go to ANYONE who video tapes or snaps a photo of a identifiable individual removing or damaging any Utah candidate's sign.

I will only "steal" illegally placed signs.

Bob,

I know the guy who sent that email or made that phone call to Rob. He's not kidding about the sign war thing.

So unless you are taking down signs while wearing your municipal, county, or state uniform, I wouldn't do it.

Besides, you should listen Rob. He thinks he's the genie out of the lamp. Certainly has figure of one of those genies.

Hey that reminds me. Rob, since good Mormons don't drink tea or coffee because its unhealthy and has all those nasty toxins, what is the church's stance on cheeseburgers? I don't see any edicts from a prohpet keeping you from eating those things and they'll flat out kill you!

But good luck this year. We need more fatty politicians on the hill. You and Art Hadow can take a down a buffet together.
