Creeping Gas Prices

Wasn't it just a few days ago that I was paying $2.199 (which is really $2.20)for a gallon of gas?

Today in Bountiful I paid $2.459 for premium gas at Tesoro. I guess I really didn't pay that much since I was sent a $20.00 gift card from Tesoro for having purchased over $3000.00 of fuel from them. With the tank of my Altima half full, I decided to search out the best price in Bountiful.

Costco's premium was the winner at $2.299. However, I didn't have my membership card and Costco locks their pumps when they close. So unless your a member and there before closing, your hosed.

The big winner tonight was Maverick who had the best price available for anyone at $2.359. Maverick also offers a free gas club that instantly takes 4 cents a gallon off the premium price, 3 cents off mid-grades, and 2 cents off unleaded or diesel. They also award free gas quarterly from $5.00 to $15.00 depending on how many gallons purchased. Guess where I finished filling up?

It just warms my soul knowing that I am somehow a part of helping oil corporations achieve record profits.
